Kevin Pietersen selected IPL’s All Time XI, did not give place to Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya

Yes, that is what has happened. First of all, know that Kevin Pietersen chose this all-time IPL XI in his For The Love of Cricket podcast. Here Jos Buttler gave Kevin Pietersen the option of some players for each position, choosing from which he completed his team.

Please note that Jos Buttler had given four options to Kevin as opening batsmen in which Chris Gayle, David Warner, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were present. Here, upon hearing these names, the England legend immediately chose Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli as his openers. After this, he selected his three middle order batsmen in which he named Suresh Raina, AB de Villiers and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain and wicketkeeper) as his choices.

Let us tell you that he had selected these three players by placing them above legends like KL Rahul, Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant, Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard. After this Kevin Pietersen selected his all-rounders where he picked Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Ravindra Jadeja. Here he ignored stalwarts like Hardik Pandya and Dwayne Bravo.

Lastly, Kevin completed his IPL XI by choosing one spinner and two fast bowlers which include Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga. It is noteworthy that he has selected Yuzvendra Chahal over Rashid Khan and Harbhajan Singh, while he included Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga in his final XI without even hearing the name of any other bowler.
