IAS Vikas Mishra will be the new collector of Sidhi, IPS Hitika Vasal will be given the responsibility of Guna SP, order issued after CM’s action.
After Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s surprise inspection in Sidhi district, Sidhi Collector Swarochish Somvanshi and Guna Superintendent of Police Ankit Soni have been transferred. Vikas Mishra has been made the new collector of Sidhi. Whereas Hitika Vasal has been given the responsibility of Guna Superintendent of Police. The General Administration Department has also issued orders in this regard.
This is the whole matter
In fact, on Sunday (22 March 2026), Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav suddenly visited Sidhi district and interacted directly with the local citizens to know the status of administrative system and field implementation of schemes. During this time, taking seriously the complaints received from the public on various issues and negligence in administrative work, the Chief Minister directed to remove Sidhi Collector Swarochish Somvanshi with immediate effect. Has been posted on the post of Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government. Also, the responsibility of Commissioner, Economic and Statistics, Bhopal and Secretary, State Statistics Commission (additional charge) has been given.
District Cooperative Bank General Manager also suspended
Along with this, General Manager (GM) of Sidhi District Cooperative Bank, who came under the scanner of complaints, P.S. Dhanwal has also been suspended with immediate effect. During this, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the slow work of the Collectorate building under construction in Sidhi and gave strict instructions to the officials that delay in public work will not be tolerated.
Guna SP attacked
Chief Minister Yadav did not consider Guna Superintendent of Police Ankit Soni’s role in the case of manipulation of cash found during searches in Guna district and gave instructions to remove him from the post. Soni has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), Bhopal. Let us tell you that during a vehicle checking on March 19 in Dharnavada police station area (Ruthiyai outpost) of Guna, about Rs 1 crore was recovered from the car of a businessman. It is alleged that the policemen embezzled Rs 20 lakh from this. Let us tell you that four policemen had already been suspended in this case, but now action has been taken against the SP.
