Early this January — just weeks before the spy thriller’s release — the production team transformed a section of Mumbai’s historic Ballard Estate into Lyari, the gritty Karachi neighbourhood that serves as a pivotal backdrop in the story. A narrow lane in the colonial-era business district was completely redesigned, complete with set dressing, props, and security cordons to recreate the look and feel of the Pakistani locale.
The high-security shoot involved lead actors Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, among others. Despite tight restrictions on public access, one determined onlooker managed to slip in alongside background artists and later shared their experience on social media, sparking viral interest.
The effort underscores the commitment to visual realism in director [Director’s name not mentioned in article; if known from prior coverage, insert here]’s ambitious project, which blends high-stakes espionage with ensemble performances.
Meanwhile, the film shows no signs of slowing down commercially. On its fourth day in theatres, Dhurandhar: The Revenge minted ₹114.85 crore net (₹137.43 crore gross) across 21,202 shows. The worldwide cumulative gross now stands at an impressive ₹691.32 crore, including ₹541.97 crore from the domestic market and ₹149.35 crore from overseas.
The cast — headlined by Ranveer Singh and featuring Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and several others — has drawn widespread acclaim for their portrayals in this action-packed spy drama.
