IRGC’s stern warning to America, ‘Every attack will be answered’
Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the US, saying any threat against Iran will be met with an “equal and deterrent” response. In a statement issued on Monday, the IRGC responded to US President Donald Trump’s allegations that Iranian forces could target regional water desalination plants.
The IRGC alleged that the war was started by the US military and has so far targeted many civilians, including children. The statement said the US strikes also damaged water infrastructure, including a desalination plant on Qeshm Island.
The Corps clarified that it has not carried out any such attack and rejected the allegations. The statement said the IRGC has so far exercised restraint despite US and allied forces targeting hospitals, relief centers and schools.
The IRGC also responded to Trump’s warning to target Iranian power plants. An Iranian military spokesman said, “If you target our electricity supply, we will also target your electricity supply.”
The IRGC said that if an attack were to occur, the response would be to target plants that supply power to US bases, as well as economic, industrial and energy facilities linked to US interests. At the end of the statement, the IRGC said that it is committed to responding to every threat at the same level, thereby maintaining balance and deterrence. Kor warned, “The United States does not know our capabilities, but it will experience them on the battlefield.”
It is noteworthy that IRGC has claimed to attack several American and Israeli targets in the region as part of its ongoing campaign ‘Operation True Promise-4’.
