Navratri fasting is not just about staying hungry, but it is also important to take a proper and nutritious diet during this time. We all think that there are not many good and good food options during fasting but it is not so. Even during fasting, there are many things which are not only healthy but also tasty, so let us tell you today the recipe of making cheela from buckwheat flour for fasting.
Material
- Buckwheat flour – 1 cup
- Boiled potatoes – 2 (mashed)
- Green chilli – 1-2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger – 1 small piece (grated)
- Green coriander – 2 teaspoons (chopped)
- Rock salt – as per taste
- Black pepper powder – ½ teaspoon
- Cumin – ½ teaspoon
- Water – to make batter
- Ghee or oil – for baking
Method
1-First of all, take buckwheat flour in a bowl. Add mashed potatoes, green chillies, ginger, green coriander, rock salt, black pepper and cumin seeds. 2-Now prepare a smooth batter by slowly adding water to it (not too thin, not too thick). Heat the pan and apply some ghee or oil on it.
3-Now take a ladle of batter and pour it on the pan and spread it gently. Bake on medium flame till it becomes golden and crisp from both the sides.
4- Serve hot buckwheat cheela with curd or fasting chutney (like mint or peanut). You can make it more healthy by adding grated bottle gourd or carrot to the batter. You can also add a little Rajgira flour to make it more crispy.
