Director Aditya Dhar has stormed to the No. 1 spot on this week’s IMDb Popular Indian Celebrities list, riding high on the massive success of his spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which released in theatres on March 19.
The film, a sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, has shattered box office records in its first few days, collecting over ₹450 crore net in India and ₹750 crore worldwide so far. Critics and audiences alike have praised its gripping narrative, high-octane action, and powerful performances, pushing the entire cast and crew into the spotlight.
According to the latest IMDb rankings — compiled weekly on the IMDb app based on over 200 million global monthly visits — the top 10 is dominated by Dhurandhar: The Revenge talent. Director Aditya Dhar leads at No. 1, followed by young actress Sara Arjun at No. 2 and star Ranveer Singh at No. 3.
Other cast members from the film also feature prominently: Udaybir Sandhu (No. 7), Arjun Rampal (No. 9), Saumya Tandon (No. 10), Gaurav Gera (No. 12), Danish Iqbal (No. 13), and veteran Rakesh Bedi (No. 20). Akshaye Khanna, who appeared in the first Dhurandhar, holds the No. 16 position.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge picks up from the first film’s cliffhanger, following Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari (originally Jaskirat Singh Rangi) as he rises in Karachi’s underworld while operating as a covert agent. Set against real historical events like the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and 26/11, the nearly four-hour action drama stars Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and others in key roles.
