Mbbs: The gangs that commit fraud in the name of education are now coming under the grip of the police. Taking major action in Kalyanpur police station area of Kanpur, the police have arrested two youths who were involved in online fraud. These accused used to extort lakhs of rupees on the pretext of getting MBBS seats.
This is how the fraud was revealed
The arrested accused have been identified as Saurav and Jayant. These miscreants assured a student of getting admission in MBBS and cheated him of Rs 5 lakh 75 thousand. After taking the money, neither the seat was found nor the accused were found, after which the victim realized that he was cheated.
Mbbs: Arrest from West Bengal
Police tracked the location of the accused with the help of cyber cell and surveillance and arrested both of them from West Bengal. After interrogation, the accused have been sent to jail.
Mbbs: Police action and investigation ongoing
According to Kalyanpur police station in-charge and trainee IPS Sumedh Jadhav, a case was registered on the basis of the complaint of the victim. Now the police is investigating the network of this gang to find out how many more students have been cheated.
Police appeal to people
Mbbs: Kanpur Commissionerate Police has appealed to the people to avoid receiving unknown calls and advertisements asking for money in the name of admission or job. From Be alert.
