Madhya Pradesh’s GSDP will touch Rs 18.48 lakh crore by 2026-27

Madhya Pradesh is preparing to touch new heights of economic development. As per estimates, the state’s economy will reach a robust Rs 18.48 lakh crore by 2026-27. This is ahead of the estimate of Rs 16.48 lakh crore for 2025-26. In the huge budget of Rs 4,38,317 crore, a lot of emphasis has been laid on development, welfare and infrastructure.

The government has targeted a revenue surplus of Rs 44 crore by the end of 2026-27, reflecting the soundness of economic plans and fiscal discipline. A provision of Rs 80,266 crore has been made for capital expenditure, which is 4.80 percent of GSDP. This will give new impetus to infrastructure, industry and rural development.

Department-wise growth is notable—37% in rural development, 16% in urban development, 26% in women-child development, 43% in revenue and 11% in school education. The agriculture sector will get Rs 88,910 crore, which will become Rs 1.15 lakh crore with non-budgetary resources. With this, the dream of doubling the income of farmers and modernizing farming will come true.

Rs 23,800 crore allocated to Ladli Brahmin Yojana, Rs 10,400 crore to VB-Giram, Rs 5,500 crore to Chief Minister Farmer Welfare and Rs 4,600 crore to Health Mission. Rs 3,000 crore for Simhastha preparations and Rs 23,747 crore for health services. 1,83,708 crore on socio-economic schemes, of which 26% for ST and 17% for SC.

New schemes like Dwarka scheme of Rs 5,000 crore in three years, Rs 3,800 crore for ownership and Rs 700 crore for Yashoda milk will give wings to the rural economy. Revenue is estimated at Rs 3,08,703 crore and capital receipts at Rs 80,694 crore. Madhya Pradesh is ready to write a new chapter of development and inclusive progress.
