IPL star shines in APL, playing for Gamati Thunder, RCB’s Swastik hit 21 sixes, 11 fours, 195 unbeaten runs in 69 balls
Ayodhya, immortal thoughts. While playing for Gomti Thunder team in Ayodhya Premier League (APL) T-20 on Sunday, IPL’s RCB player Swastik Chikara batted stormily and scored 195 runs in just 69 balls. He entertained the audience a lot by hitting fours and sixes on the field. He hit 21 sixes and 11 fours in his innings. With the help of five sixes and 12 fours, Priyanshu played a century inning of 100 runs. In the 20 over match, Gomti Thunder scored 307 runs against Hindon Titan without losing any wicket. APL Organizing Secretary Umer Ahmed awarded Swastik and Ansh as Man of the Year.
Two league matches were played on Sunday at the cricket stadium of Dr. Ambedkar International Sports Complex. The first match was very exciting. In this match, Gomti team set a huge score of 307 runs in 20 overs against Hindon Titan without losing any wicket. Swastik Chikara of Gomti team scored 195 unbeaten runs on 69 balls by hitting 21 sixes and 12 fours and Priyanshu Pandey made an important contribution of 100 not out runs with the help of 5 sixes and 12 fours on 52 balls. In reply, Hindon Titan team collapsed after losing all the wickets for 218 runs in 19.3 overs. Team’s Shekhar added 68 runs, Vikas added 25 runs and Kushagra added 24 runs to the team. Gomti’s Hrithik and Vanindra took three wickets each, Prabhakar and Atif took two wickets each. Swastika was the man of the match for Gomti team.
In the second match, Manorama Warriors, batting first, scored 191 runs losing three wickets. In this, Ansh contributed 89 runs and Aman contributed 58 runs. Shubham Sharma of Chambal Chargers team took two wickets and Shubham Yadav took one wicket. In reply, Chambal Chargers team, who came to bat, could score 165 runs at the loss of two wickets in the stipulated overs. Prashant contributed 58 runs, Saurabh contributed 48 runs and Adarsh contributed 42 runs. Sonu and Paras of Manorama team took one wicket each. Ansh was the man of the match.
