America scared of Iran’s threat to ‘cut off electricity’! Trump took a big decision, will the war end?
Iran Israel War News: President of America Donald Trump Has indicated that talks have started between Washington and Tehran, which he described as ‘very good and positive talks’. This conversation is being held with the aim of completely ending the growing conflict in the Middle East. However, many meanings are being derived from this statement of Trump. It is believed that this statement of Trump has come after Iran’s statement in which it had talked about causing damage to power stations.
According to reports, Iran had made a full-fledged plan to bring America to its knees. For this, the Iranian Army had also shown the targets where they were going to attack in the Middle East. This step has come at a time when the war has entered its fourth week and for the first time there have been signs of some kind of easing of tensions. Responding to Trump’s decision, Iranian state media said that the US President has ‘stepped back’ due to fear of possible Iranian retaliation.
What did Donald Trump say?
In a statement released on his social media platforms, Trump said, “I am pleased to report that the United States and Iran have had very good and positive conversations over the past two days, leading to a complete resolution of our conflict in the Middle East. Given the atmosphere of these intense and constructive talks, which will continue throughout the week, I have directed the Department of Defense to postpone for five days all military attacks on Iran’s power plants and energy infrastructure. This decision will depend on the success of the ongoing meetings and negotiations.”
This announcement was made when just a few hours ago Iran had given new and open threats in response to America’s warning. On Monday, Iranian officials warned that if there were more attacks on their territory they would target power stations across the Gulf.
What is Iran’s plan?
Iran also released maps of potential targets, which included Israel’s two largest power stations as well as energy installations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait. In a graphic released with these maps it was clearly written, “Say goodbye to electricity.”
This sharp rhetoric increased further when Trump gave Iran an ultimatum till midnight to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that if this was not done, Iran’s power infrastructure would be ‘completely destroyed’.
However, there has been no indication from Tehran of following this ultimatum. On the contrary, Iran has already limited the movement of tankers passing through this narrow waterway. This waterway handles about one-fifth of the global oil supply.
Additionally, Iran has retaliated against energy targets in the Gulf region, US diplomatic missions, and several targets inside Israel, further escalating tensions in the region.
