To add to Khichdi, take curry leaves, green coriander, green chillies, cumin seeds, peanuts, boiled potatoes, rock salt and black pepper powder. A little sugar is needed for sweetness and lemon juice for sour taste.
Second Step- Now to make Khichdi, wash the sago 2-3 times and apply some ghee in a steel box, add sago, rock salt and some water, mix and close the box. Keep the potatoes for khichdi in the cooker to boil and also keep the box of sago in it. Now cook the potatoes for 3-4 whistles on high flame and then for 2-3 minutes more.
Third Step-Now after the cooker cools down, take out the potatoes and now try to open the sago box gently. Don’t worry, the sago will bloom after it cools down a bit. If there is too much water in the sago, then put it in a strainer and separate the sago.
Fourth step- Now heat ghee in a pan or pan and fry the peanuts and take them out. Add Jari, green chillies and curry leaves to the remaining ghee, then add chopped boiled potatoes. Add rock salt, black pepper and then sago and cook the khichdi on low flame. If desired, add sugar grains and turn off the gas after the khichdi is cooked.
