‘Arjun Tendulkar will not play at all…’ Ashwin made a big claim regarding the playing eleven of LSG
LSG’s Playing XI : Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun, known as the God of Cricket, was released by Mumbai Indians, where he did not get much opportunities in the IPL. But, when Lucknow Super Giants added him in the last auction, the fans had hopes. Arjun will get more opportunities. However, former India spinner R Ashwin has claimed that he will not get a chance in LSG also.

Actually, currently the team of Lucknow Super Giants has experienced and strong fast bowlers like Mayank Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Anrich Nortje, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan. Former Indian off-spinner R Ashwin believes that considering the lethal fast bowling attack of LSG, the path to the playing eleven is not looking easy for Arjun. He may have to sit on the bench for the entire season. On the challenges of LSG, Ashwin said on his YouTube channel, “Arjun Tendulkar will not play and let’s not even go there.”
He further said, “I think it is very difficult to make a place for him because in this lineup there is Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan and Mohammed Shami. How will he play with so many fast bowlers? I don’t think there is a case for him unless there are a lot of injuries.” However, Ashwin’s point seems to be correct to a large extent because there are so many fast bowlers and all-rounders in the team, who have played for their national team, so they find it difficult to get a chance.
Let us tell you that Arjun Tendulkar, who joined Mumbai Indians for the first time in the year 2021, had to wait a long time for his debut. Tendulkar played his first match in 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. But, he has been able to play only 5 matches in his IPL career, in which he has taken 3 wickets in his name. Even in the 2024 season under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, he got a chance to play only one match.
