Delhi Becomes New Hub for Film Shooting: The country’s national capital Delhi has emerged as a new hub for film shooting and foreign tourists. According to Delhi Economic Survey- 2025-26, 32,24,675 foreign tourists arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the year 2024, which is the highest in the country. Along with this, a large number of applications for film shooting also came.

According to the Economic Survey 2025-26, the capital has topped the country in the arrival of foreign tourists. Delhi ranked sixth in the country in terms of foreign tourist arrivals with 1.999 million. Qutub Minar was the most liked among the historical places of the capital, where 32.04 lakh domestic tourists visited. This was followed by Red Fort, where 28.84 lakh people visited.

To improve the tourist experience, several new attractions including Bansra Park and Asita Park have been added to the city’s tourism app ‘Dekho Meri Delhi’. Along with this, Bharat Darshan Park and Waste to Wonder Park of Delhi Municipal Corporation have also been included in it. A new policy is in place to make film shooting easier in the capital. For this, Delhi Development Authority is taking many new initiatives.

Delhi E-Film Clearance Policy

Under ‘Delhi E-Film Clearance Policy’, action was taken on 50 out of 278 applications. This policy is being considered an important step towards making Delhi a major hub for film production. To promote tourism, the Delhi government is organizing the first international film festival from March 25 to 31. 140 films will be screened in it.

Electric double-decker bus service started to connect major monuments

Apart from this, electric double-decker bus service has also been started to connect major monuments, thereby strengthening the tourism circuit. Overall, Delhi is now not only the political capital of the country, but is also rapidly emerging as a major tourism and film shooting centre.
