UCC Bill to be presented in Gujarat Assembly today
The Gujarat government will introduce the ‘Gujarat Uniform Civil Code, 2026’ bill in the Assembly on Wednesday, which is considered a big step towards bringing personal laws into a uniform framework. The purpose of this bill is to unify and organize the rules related to marriage, divorce, succession and cohabitation relationships, irrespective of religion, caste or creed.
