Padrauna: Compensation payment postponed again: ADM gives new assurance till April 2, farmers angry

Kushinagar. Compensation payment for the land acquired under the Chhitauni-Tamkuhi Road New Railway Line Project in the district is still pending, due to which anger is increasing among hundreds of affected families. Despite submitting all the necessary documents, farmers are continuously getting only assurances.

According to the compensation payment notice issued on January 21, 2026, farmers were instructed to collect the payment by appearing with the necessary records by February 15. Farmers submitted the documents of Format-41, 45 and 1359 including application form, letterhead, bank passbook, Aadhar card, share certificate within the stipulated time. Despite this the payment process has not progressed. In this case, hundreds of families including Pramod Rauniyar, Jaiprakash Gupta, Ravindra Yadav, Bhola Jaiswal, Shivnarayan Yadav, Raju Rauniyar are affected, who have been waiting for compensation for the last two months.

In a telephone conversation with the Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) on March 23, the possibility of payment by April 2, 2026 was expressed. However, with the repeated extension of the date, resentment and distrust towards the administration is increasing among the farmers. Farmers say that this time too if payment is not made within the stipulated time, they will be forced to adopt the path of agitation. At the same time, the laziness of the district administration and departmental negligence is making this whole matter more serious.
