Rinku Singh becomes KKR Vice-Captain: Before IPL 2026, big news has come out from the camp of Kolkata Knight Riders. The franchise has appointed its star player Rinku Singh as the vice-captain of the team. This decision was announced during the ‘Nights Unplugged 3.0’ event. Along with this, the team also officially confirmed it on social media platform X.

Received reward for consistently excellent performance

Rinku Singh has been one of the most reliable players of KKR for the last few years. On the basis of his aggressive batting and excellent fielding, he has led the team to victory on many occasions. The 28-year-old player has proved himself with his performances in both domestic cricket and IPL. Now the team management has included him in the leadership group and given him a big responsibility.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore expressed happiness over this decision and said that the franchise has full confidence in Rinku Singh. He said that Rinku has been associated with the team since 2018 and is continuously playing an important role. After becoming the vice-captain, he will now make an important contribution to the team’s strategy along with captain Ajinkya Rahane.
