RCB team gets new owner

According to Cricbuzz reports, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team has been jointly purchased by Aditya Birla Group (ABG), Times of India Group (TOI), Bolt Ventures (BOLT) and Blackstone’s Perpetual Private Equity Strategy (BXPE, Blackstone). He has estimated the price of this franchise at Rs 16,706 crore. He has purchased 100 percent shares from United Spirits Limited (USL), a subsidiary of UK-Diageo PLC. Both men’s and women’s teams of RCB are included in this deal.

RCB team was sold for Rs 446 crore during IPL 2008. Today his value has increased to Rs 16,706 crore. Aditya Birla Group director Aryaman Vikram Birla will be the chairman of this team. Satyan Gajwani of Times of India Group will be in the role of Vice Chairman. This group will also include David Blitzer of Bolt Ventures and Viral Patel, CEO of BXPE. All of them together will take decisions related to RCB.
