Prayagraj. A major accident occurred on Monday in the Kotwali police station area of the city, where the debris of a building located near Nawab’s Kitchen in South Malaka area suddenly fell. After this incident, there was chaos in the entire area and people got scared. According to eyewitnesses, part of the building suddenly collapsed due to which the people present nearby got scared and there was screams on the spot. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and relief and rescue team immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
The administration fears that some people may be buried under the debris. Keeping this in mind, the work of removing debris is being done rapidly with the help of JCB and other equipment. Ambulance and medical team have also been deployed at the spot, so that any emergency can be dealt with immediately. After the incident, a large number of local people gathered at the spot, due to which there are obstacles in the relief work.
Efforts are being made by the police to control the crowd and people are being appealed for cooperation. At present, the reasons for this accident are not clearly known. In the preliminary investigation, it is feared that the building was in a dilapidated condition or there may have been some negligence during the construction work. The administration has ordered an investigation into the matter.
