Speaking during the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special on Disney+, Chappell said “You literally walked so I can run. What I do on stage, like when I can go on a red carpet and just be.”
The singer, who has previously made headlines for standing up to photographers, has also received public support from Miley amid the pressures faced by young artists in the spotlight.
The Flowers singer defended her in the past saying it’s tough to be a young artist with social media pressures.
