Baghdad: Major air attack on militia base in Iraq, 14 fighters killed
Major commander of militia killed, a major air strike has taken place in Iraq amid Iran-Israel tension. A headquarters of a Tehran-backed Shia militia in Anbar province was targeted, killing about 14 fighters, including a commander. After the attack, high flames and thick smoke were seen rising from the area.
America accused of attack
According to local reports, this attack was carried out on the base of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). A prominent commander is also said to be among those killed. There is anger among militia groups after this incident and they have called this attack a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.

The militia has blamed the US for the attack, although no party has yet officially claimed responsibility. This incident is believed to increase further tension amid increasing pressure and attacks on Iran from America and Israel. Even before this, there have been several incidents of air strikes on Iran-backed militia bases in Iraq, due to which the situation in the region remains sensitive.
