3 grand songs removed from ‘Dhurandhar 2’, Ranveer Singh’s explosive style will now be seen in a different release
Tezzbuzz Desk – Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 is doing wonders at the box office. This film, which has done a business of Rs 800 crore worldwide so far, has also crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in India. The credit for the film’s success goes to its grand scale VFX, music, acting and story. Although, before the release, CBFC had made changes in some dialogues and scenes, but now the most talked about thing is why the three big songs of the film were not included in the final cut.
The song ‘Dongri Ke Sultan’ was removed.
Singer Mujtaba Aziz Naja recently revealed that his song ‘Dongri Ke Sultan’ was recorded for a celebration scene. In this scene, Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza was shown returning to his base after winning the local elections. The song was shot extensively in South Mumbai, involving at least 10 cars, a band and several extras.
According to Mujtaba, the song was shot in a single day. The set-up was so large that cameras were installed both in buildings and on the ground floor, and people were requested not to shoot from mobiles. Apart from this song, two other songs named ‘Cover- Jumma Chumma De De’ and ‘Apni To Jaise Taise’ were also shot in the film.
Why were the songs removed from the film?
Mujtaba said that he did not know why the songs were ultimately removed. He said, “The entire part was edited and removed. But I still have the rights to that song. I am now thinking of releasing it independently.”
Mujtaba also told that he is going to make an official video of ‘Dongri Ke Sultan’. He said, “The film had its audio, but not the video. Now we are working on the video and will launch it in a very exclusive form.”
