Indian government alert on war in West Asia; An all-party meeting will be held today
New Delhi : War in West Asia And Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted worldwide petroleum supplies. This is having a direct impact on India, and there is a possibility of a big increase in the price of petrol, diesel and gas in the future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while commenting on this situation in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday has given a clear indication of fuel price hike. He said, due to the war situation, trade India imports 85 percent of its crude oil requirements, 65 percent of which comes from West Asia. If the state of war escalates, the jobs and income of Indians will be affected, and this situation is worrying for India.

The supply of petrol, diesel, gas and fertilizers has been affected, and the country has to be prepared for the upcoming ‘unexpected’ situation. Oil companies have introduced new rules for gas supply. Those who have two cylinders will now get one cylinder after 35 days. Meanwhile, Ujjwala Yojana customers will get the cylinder after 45 days. Those who have a cylinder will get it after 25 days. Fuel scarcity has started to be felt in major cities of the country. Long queues of vehicles are seen at the pumps where fuel is available. Large vehicles have to wait for hours due to disruption of CNG supply.
The central government has called an all-party meeting today, Wednesday at 5 pm to discuss this serious crisis. In this, the government will inform all the opposition parties including the Congress about the current situation and the preparations of the government.
Everyone’s attention turned to India’s role
On the other hand, the rapidly changing strategic situation in West Asia has brought the Israel-US-Iran war to the brink of nuclear war. Iran dropped cluster bombs on several cities, targeting Israel’s highly sensitive nuclear research facilities such as Dimona and Arad. Israel was shocked.
