According to the latest report of Variety, Sony’s Columbia Pictures has changed the release date of ‘Jumanji 3’. Earlier this film was scheduled to release on 11th December, but now it has been postponed by two weeks to 25th December (Christmas). Big clash at the box office: There will be a clash with ‘Dune 3’ and ‘Avengers’. This change in the release date of the film is being considered a big strategic move. Releasing on the occasion of Christmas, ‘Jumanji 3’ will get full benefit of the holidays. However, its path at the box office will not be easy. Jumanji 3 is going to face tough competition from mega-budget films like ‘Dune: Part Three’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ releasing on December 18. Interesting thing is that Christmas has always been lucky for the ‘Jumanji’ franchise. It started in 1995 with Robin Williams’ original film, which was released on December 15.
