Preparation of apology and court hearing
Ranveer Singh’s controversial case
Recently, amid the grand success of *Dhurandhar: The Revenge*, actor Ranveer Singh is once again in the news due to the ‘Kantara’ controversy. The Karnataka High Court heard the case, which includes the mimicry done in the film *Kantara* and the FIR lodged against Ranveer Singh. During the hearing, Ranveer’s lawyer told that the actor is ready to file an affidavit in the court. The next hearing of this case will be on April 10, when Ranveer will have to submit an affidavit in the Karnataka High Court, in which he will tender an unconditional apology for mimicking the ‘Daiva’ scene of *Kanthara*.
Questions raised on apology on social media
During the court hearing, the prosecution objected to the apology that the actor shared on social media after the controversy. The prosecution said that this apology was probably not posted by the actor himself, but by his social media management team. In response, Ranveer’s lawyer said that the actor is truly remorseful about the incident and will soon submit a written apology in the court. Furthermore, the lawyer also proposed that Ranveer be invited to visit the Chamundi Temple in Mysore to personally apologize.
