Iran refuses to talk to leaders close to Trump, puts forward new conditions for talks
Tehran: Amidst the increasing tension between Iran and America, a new turn is now being seen on the diplomatic front. According to recent reports, Iran has clearly indicated that it is not in favor of continuing talks with some key representatives of America. Instead, it has put forward a new option for negotiations, which has created a new stir in international politics.
According to sources, Iran has refused to re-negotiate with US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Iran believes that earlier talks with these leaders did not yield any concrete results. After this, the situation worsened when the military actions of Israel and America came to light. It is clear from Iran’s stance that it now wants to talk only with those people whom it trusts and who can move towards a solution.
Expressed confidence in JD Vance
Interestingly, Iran has expressed its desire for direct talks with US Vice President JD Vance. Iran considers him to be more balanced and moderate compared to other leaders. Iran believes that Vance is in favor of ending the war and that he can show seriousness in finding a solution through dialogue. For this reason, he is seeing him as a better negotiator.
A major reason behind this decision of Iran is the decreasing trust between the two countries. Mutual trust has weakened due to the failure of earlier talks and the subsequent military action. In such a situation, Iran is now adopting a more cautious approach towards talks.
Trump’s statement
At the same time, US President Donald Trump had recently said that his entire diplomatic team is involved in this conversation. He told that JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are all part of this process. Trump also claimed that America is in a strong position in this conflict and has caused considerable damage to Iran’s military power.
However, different reactions are emerging on these claims. The White House has made it clear that the President takes the final decision as to who will negotiate on behalf of America. The press secretary said that only Trump has the right to decide in this matter.
