First look at ‘Harry Potter’ out! Iconic picture of Hogwarts revealed
HBO has released the first official photo from its highly anticipated *Harry Potter* television series, giving fans a new look at the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The photo, shared on the show’s official Instagram on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, shows a young **Harry Potter** (played by newcomer **Dominic McLaughlin**) from behind as he approaches a snow-covered **Quidditch field**. He is wearing a red and gold **Gryffindor** robe with “Potter” and the number **7** written on the back, and he is holding his broom. In the background, students are gathered around the fluttering house banners of **Gryffindor** and **Hufflepuff**; One of the banners commemorates Fred and George Weasley. The image hints at an upcoming teaser trailer, and the post’s caption simply reads “Tomorrow” followed by a lightning emoji.
The production design, led by **Mara Lepere-Schlup** (famous for *Interview with the Vampire* and *Pachinko*), aims to bring JK Rowling’s magical world to life with new and fresh details. Currently, it is being shot in UK based Warner Bros. Studios operates in Leavesden.

The series will take a more in-depth look at Rowling’s seven books than the original films. It will follow Harry’s story—how he discovers he is a wizard, goes to Hogwarts, befriends Ron and Hermione, and faces Lord Voldemort. It is expected to premiere on HBO and Max in **2027**.
This first glimpse has created tremendous excitement among the people; It promises to be a faithful, yet fresh take on this beloved world of magic. Its teaser trailer is expected to release on March 25, 2026.
