‘Familyism in JDU too’, Prashant Kishore takes a jibe at CM Nitish

Sanjay Singh, Patna. Once again a new phase of rhetoric has started in the politics of Bihar. Jan Suraj’s founder Prashant Kishor has taken a sharp dig at the return of Nitish Kumar to the post of national president of Janata Dal (United). He said that now JDU is also not untouched by the politics of family politics. Prashant Kishore, who reached Munger, held a meeting with workers and leaders under the Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan. In this meeting organized near Bhagat Singh Chowk of the city, he not only shared the strategy of the organization but also openly expressed his views on the current political situation of the state.

Making Nitish the national president is nothing new

Prashant Kishore said in his address, ‘Nitish Kumar becoming the national president again is not a new thing. If the party is his then the President will also remain the same. He further said that Jan Suraj has been continuously saying this for the last three years that the leader who forms a party in Bihar becomes its leader and often prepares political ground for his family too. He sarcastically said that the politics which talked about socialism of JP and Lohia for thirty-thirty-five years is now moving on the same path, where familyism has become dominant. JDU is also no longer an exception to this.

During the meeting, Prashant Kishore also discussed in detail the future agenda of Jan Suraj. He said that after the election results, the party leaders had observed a one-day fast at Gandhi Bhitiharwa Ashram in West Champaran and at that time it was decided that the new government would be given six months time to fulfill its promises. He said that Jan Suraj will now go door-to-door and communicate with the public through Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan. To make this campaign strong and effective for the next five years, we are re-establishing the organization in every district.

Jansuraj had already predicted

During this, he also gave a big statement on the speculations about Nitish Kumar possibly going to Rajya Sabha and leaving the post of Chief Minister. He said that despite the support of 202 MLAs, he had to leave the post of Chief Minister. The reason for this is their physical and mental condition. Prashant Kishor claimed that Jan Suraj had predicted even before the elections that Nitish Kumar would not remain the Chief Minister for the next five years. Just three months after the elections, the situation has become such that he may have to step down, whether voluntarily or under pressure.
