Big decision of Yogi government regarding Ram Navami, declared holiday on 26th and 27th March
UP News: On the occasion of Ram Navami, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision and declared both 26th and 27th March as public holidays. Earlier there was a holiday only on March 26, but keeping in mind the increasing number of devotees and public sentiment, the government has increased it to two days.
Trying to balance faith and law
This decision taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also related to the objective of systematically handling the crowd gathering in temples. On the day of Ram Navami, large scale pujas, processions and religious events take place in many cities of the state. With a two-day holiday, devotees will get more time to participate in darshan and events, while the administration will also be able to manage the crowd.
Main celebration on 27th March
This year Ram Navami is being celebrated on 27th March. On this day, grand processions will be taken out in different parts of the state. Special preparations are being made in major religious cities like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Gorakhpur.
The government believes that an additional holiday will give people the opportunity to participate in religious activities without haste.
Holidays changed in courts also
This decision of leave has also affected the judicial system. Earlier, March 26 was declared a holiday in the courts, but now Allahabad High Court has changed it and declared March 27 as a holiday.
This means that there will be normal functioning in the courts on March 26, while all courts will remain closed on March 27 on the occasion of Ram Navami.
Administrative preparation and security arrangements
In view of the two-day holiday, the administration has made extensive arrangements for security and order. Additional police forces will be deployed in sensitive areas and special surveillance will be maintained on the routes of processions. Apart from this, traffic management and emergency services have also been put on alert, so that there is no inconvenience of any kind.
The decision of two days holiday on Ram Navami is a step taken towards respect for religious faith as well as better administrative management. While this will provide convenience to the devotees, it will also help the government in conducting large scale events in a safe and orderly manner.
