Innocent drowned in Saryu located in Gorakhpur Gola area: Dead body of 14 year old Aman found after 36 hours, painful scene at Godiana Ghat. The teenager had drowned in deep water while bathing.

gorakhpur. Saryu river once again took away the life of an innocent person in Gola police station area. The body of 14-year-old Aman, who drowned in the Saryu river south of Dewai Peepar village, was recovered in the early hours of Thursday after about 36 hours. The dead body was found floating on the river bank near Godiana Ghat in Purba Rakoli, about one kilometer away from the incident site. As soon as the dead body was found, there was an outcry among the family members and mourning spread throughout the village.

According to the information received, Aman had gone to take bath in Saryu river with his friends on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, he suddenly went into deep water and disappeared within no time. His companions raised an alarm, but it was too late. When he did not return home till late night, the family members became worried and a search began. The fear of drowning became stronger after Aman’s clothes were found on the river bank at the behest of his friends.

As soon as the information was received, Gola police reached the spot and immediately started the search operation. On Wednesday morning, the SDRF team conducted a massive search operation in the river using a steamer, but despite hard efforts throughout the day, no clue was found. The team returned late in the evening and were ready to resume the search the next day.

Meanwhile, at around 5 am on Thursday morning, the villagers saw a dead body landing on the river bank near Godiana Ghat. As soon as the information was received, police and family members reached the spot. Upon identification, the body turned out to be that of Aman. This scene was so painful that the eyes of every person present at the spot became moist.

The police took the body into custody, completed the Panchnama process and sent it for post-mortem. Naib Tehsildar Jai Prakash and police station in-charge Rakesh Roshan Singh said that the joint team of SDRF and local administration was continuously running the search operation, after which the body was recovered.

Aman was the younger of two brothers and was a student of class four. His father is in the Gulf country in search of livelihood and is unable to reach home due to the current situation. The family is completely devastated by the news of their son’s death. There is a wave of mourning everywhere in the village and people are shocked by this tragic accident.
