‘Iran should take a decision quickly otherwise there will be no way to turn back’, Trump’s open warning

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has now entered its 27th day and the situation remains tense. Meanwhile, on Thursday, US President Trump gave a sharp reaction regarding Iran. He claimed that Iranian representatives are continuously trying for an agreement and time is running out.

Trump’s post on Truth Social

Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that on one hand Iran is publicly showing that it is reviewing American proposals. On the other hand, its negotiators are pleading for a compromise. He described Iran’s stance as contradictory and unusual.

In his statement, Trump also said that Iran’s military strength has become very weak and there is very little possibility of it becoming strong again. He warned that if Iran does not show seriousness soon, the situation may go out of its control and there will be no way to return.

Iran’s terms

On the other hand, Iran has also put its conditions before America. Iran says that the war should end on its own terms. It has put forward five major demands, which include a halt to attacks and targeted killings, an end to the conflict on all fronts, concrete arrangements to prevent future wars, compensation for war damages and determination of compensation and demand for international recognition of the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Trump also targeted NATO. He said that NATO countries did not support America during the ongoing tension with Iran. Trump even said that NATO is no longer as strong as before and its military position has become weak. Although he also clarified that America does not have any expectations from NATO, but the allied countries should remember the current situation.

These comments of Trump have come at a time when NATO allies have not openly supported the steps being taken under the leadership of America regarding the Strait of Hormuz and regional security. Due to this, differences of opinion regarding this conflict are clearly visible even at the international level.
