Houthi’s entry amid US-Israel attacks, claims Iranian media!

The round of attacks between Iran and America-Israel is still going on. It’s been almost a month since the attack started on February 28, but no talks have been reached between the two sides yet. Meanwhile, Houthi rebels may enter against America-Israel attacks on Iran.

Iran’s government news agency Tasnim, quoting sources, has claimed that the Houthi rebels supported by Iran are ready to join the war against Israel.

The Houthis, also known as Yemeni Ansarullah, are poised to capture the Bab al-Mandab Strait, Iranian media report, citing unnamed sources.

The rebel group has already maintained tensions in the Red Sea since October 2023 and has shelled hundreds of Israeli positions in retaliation for Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

According to American media CNN, Houthi has also targeted ships belonging to the US and Britain, causing disruption in trade around the world. US and other Western navies are escorting ships at sea, but if the Houthis decide to capture the Bab al-Mandab Strait, their options could be further reduced.

The Bab el-Mandab Strait is an essential passage between the Mediterranean Sea and the Arabian Sea, connecting Europe to Africa and Asia across the oceans beyond. Amidst all this, discussions are taking place regarding talks between America and Iran.

Actually, US President Donald Trump says that Iran is in talks with America. However, Iran has rejected these claims and said that light messages were exchanged between Iran and America through a third party.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said various messages have been exchanged between Iran and the United States through intermediaries over the past few days, while Tehran has not held any talks with Washington since the beginning of American and Israeli attacks on the country late last month. He made the comments in an interview with state TV channel IRIB.

“Since a few days, the US side has been sending different messages through various intermediaries. When messages are sent to us through friendly countries and we clarify our position in response or issue necessary warnings, it is neither called conversation nor dialogue. It is only an exchange of messages through our friends, and we have reiterated our principled stand,” Araghchi said.
