IPL 2026: 70 matches in 13 cities, BCCI released the schedule of the second phase of IPL, see list
IPL 2026 Schedule: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the second phase of TATA Indian Premier League 2026. Now the remaining 50 matches of the league will be played in many cities of India from 13 April to 24 May 2026. In this phase, exciting battles of the tournament will begin and the teams’ hopes for the playoffs will increase. Earlier, the first phase was released, which had 20 matches.
A total of 70 league matches will be played at 13 venues. These cities include: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamshala, Raipur and New Chandigarh. The schedule of the first phase has already been decided from March 28 to April 12. This phase will start with the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on 13th April.
Main matches and classics
Some high-profile matches will be special for the fans in this phase. The biggest match is ‘El Clasico’ between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The first match will be played on 23 April in Mumbai and the second match will be played on 2 May in Chennai.

Playoff race and excitement
This phase of the league will be decisive as teams will compete hard to make it to the playoffs. In the last weeks of the league, the matches will be even more exciting and the race between the teams will intensify.
Match times and double-headers
There will be 8 double-header matches in this phase. Afternoon matches will start at 3:30 pm and evening matches will start at 7:30 pm. This will be the right time for fans to watch the match.
The venue and schedule of the playoffs will be announced later. Fans can expect great cricket and exciting matches in this second phase.
