Talks with Iran fail… Pentagon handed over lethal options of ground operation to Trump, know how the final blow will be delivered?

Pentagon Iran Operation: Hopes for peace in the Middle East are fading and now the eyes of the world are fixed on America’s next step. If high-level talks with Iran fail, President Donald Trump may choose military action as a ‘final blow’. According to reports, the Pentagon has given four major options to President Trump to launch ground forces against Iran and destroy strategic targets.

These are the military options suggested by the Pentagon

Capture of Kharg Island: This is the most important part of the plan. Kharg Island is the ‘lifeline’ of Iran’s oil economy from where 80-90% of its crude oil is exported. Blockade or capture of this island will completely break Iran’s economic back.

Control of Larak Island: This island, located in the Strait of Hormuz, is very special strategically because Iran’s radars and boats are present here which keep an eye on civilian ships and can attack them. By capturing here, America will be able to increase its control over the entire sea route.

Attack on Abu Musa Island: Through this island located in the eastern Persian Gulf, Iran controls the ships leaving the Gulf. Attacking it will not only weaken Iran but will also strengthen the claims of America’s ally UAE.

Seizure of oil tankers: Under the fourth option, the US Navy can directly stop or capture ships exporting Iranian oil.

Uranium confiscation and air strikes

Along with ground operations, the US is also considering a plan to penetrate Iran’s nuclear sites and seize highly enriched uranium stored there. According to international reports, Iran has so far accumulated about 440 kg of 60% enriched uranium. If a ground campaign seems too risky, the US could also launch massive air strikes to completely destroy these facilities.

Trump’s tough stance

The White House has made it clear that President Trump is fully prepared to escalate tensions if no concrete agreement is reached soon. Although Trump has not yet taken a final decision on any of these four plans, he has indicated that he will not back down from attacking Iran’s power plants and energy centers.
