Neither Ranveer-Sanju Baba, nor Arjun Rampal… Aditya Dhar insisted for this new face in ‘Dhurandhar 2’

Tezzbuzz Desk – Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is continuously making waves at the box office. The film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in India in just 6 days, while the worldwide collection has also reached close to Rs 1000 crore. Major credit for this success is being given to director Aditya Dhar, who left no stone unturned in making every character of the film special.

Rizwan’s character won hearts

The character Rizwan, who is seen in the last fight with Ranveer Singh in the film, is being liked by the audience very much. This role is played by Mustafa Ahmed, who is a trainer by profession and has trained Ranveer Singh earlier also.

How did you get the opportunity in the film?

In a recent interview, Mustafa Ahmed told that he has known Aditya Dhar for a long time. He said,
“When I was training Aditya sir, I told him that ‘Uri’ is one of my favorite action films. If you make such a film again, then give me a small role.”

After this Aditya Dhar called him and asked him to audition. Initially he was called for a small role, but the team was quite impressed with his performance.

The director fought a big battle

Mustafa revealed that it was not easy to give an important role to a non-actor in such a big project. He told,
“It was not easy to cast me among such big actors, but Aditya sir wanted me to do this role. He fully supported me in front of the team and said, ‘You do it, I am with you.'”
