Preparation for change of power in Bihar, BJP leaders running from Delhi to Nagpur

Sanjay Singh, Patna: The politics of Bihar is at a fever pitch these days. After Nitish Kumar’s election as Rajya Sabha member, speculations about change of power in the state have intensified. Discussions are going on in political circles regarding the name of the new Chief Minister, form of government and power equation. Amidst this possible change of power, the leaders of the ruling coalition are seen continuously active from Delhi to Nagpur.

According to sources, many senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are trying to meet the top leadership of the party in Delhi these days. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi remained camping in Delhi for three days. During this he met Amit Shah. However, this meeting was kept completely informal and confidential. The special thing is that no picture or official information about this meeting was made public, which has given further strength to political speculations.

This round of meetings is going on in Delhi at a time when the possibilities of formation of a new government in Bihar are considered strong. It is believed that the party leadership is very cautious about the selection of the new Chief Minister and the final decision will be taken at the top level only. This is the reason why many leaders are continuously moving towards Delhi but not everyone is getting time to meet the top leadership. Here, discussions have also intensified regarding the role of the Sangh.

BJP leader Prem Kumar reached Nagpur

Senior BJP leader and Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar has reached Nagpur. He met Sangh officials at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters. On Tuesday, he shared a picture on social media, in which he was seen offering flowers at the statue of Sangh founder Dr Keshavrao Baliram Hedgewar. This tour is also being linked to the changing political situation of Bihar.

On the other hand in the state, Nitish Kumar is busy with his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’. During this visit, both Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha are also present with him. Political analysts believe that this visit is not just an inspection of development works, but can also be a part of the strategy to strengthen our hold amidst the changing political equations. Past experiences show that such changes have been happening suddenly in the politics of Bihar. Be it the breakdown of the BJP-Janata Dal (United) alliance in 2013 or the formation of the alliance again in 2017, the politics of the state has always been known for unexpected turns. Amidst this tradition, once again the call of change of power is being heard.

Now all eyes are on Delhi and Nagpur, from where the final approval is expected on the name of the new Chief Minister of Bihar. Until an official announcement is made, this period of speculation and political movements is going to continue.
