Accident of bus returning from CM’s program in MP, 10 killed and 31 injured

10 people died on the spot in a head-on collision between a bus and a pick-up in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. And 31 other people are injured. The condition of three of these is said to be critical. According to media reports, the bus was returning from the program of Chief Minister Mohan Singh Yadav. Then a tragic accident took place in Simaria on Nagpur Road, about 25 km from the district headquarters.

 

Let us inform that in a state level program on Thursday, CM Mohan Singh Yadav had come to Chhindwara district to gift 105 development works completed at a cost of more than Rs 500 crore. It is being told that the bus which was the victim of the accident had come for this program.

Chief Minister Mohan Singh Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh to the injured. All the injured will be treated free of cost. Chhindwara Superintendent of Police Ajay Pandey said that the deceased included three women, six men and a child. District Collector Harendra Narayan said that a total of 31 people were injured. The condition of three of them is critical. One person has been admitted to Nagpur hospital.

 

According to Kotwali police station in-charge Ashish Kumar, more than 40 people were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident. The injured have been taken by ambulance to Chhindwara District Hospital and other nearby hospitals. Where everyone is undergoing treatment.

Control room built in Bhopal, Minister in-charge will go to Chhindwara

CM Mohan Yadav wrote on Twitter, ‘The road accident that took place this evening on Chhindwara-Nagpur road is heart-wrenching. My condolences to the affected families. We pray to Almighty God to grant peace to the souls of all the departed. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.

 

 

 

 

He further wrote that I have instructed the concerned officials to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured. Instructions have been given to send teams of doctors from Jabalpur to Chhindwara and Nagpur. Chhindwara in-charge minister Rakesh Singh has also been directed to change his schedule and reach Chhindwara. An assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to the next of kin of the deceased, and an assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh each will be provided to the seriously injured. All the injured will be treated free of cost. A control room has been set up in the Health Department in Bhopal, from where the treatment of all the injured is being monitored.
