BCCI releases men’s home schedule, Border-Gavaskar Trophy match in Guwahati!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule of India (Senior Men’s) international domestic matches for the 2026-27 season. The upcoming domestic season will be very exciting, in which four visiting teams West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Australia will play matches in different formats. This season, a total of 22 international matches will be played in 17 cities, which will give cricket lovers across the country a chance to watch the best international cricket.

International matches will be played for the first time after the Test match against New Zealand in October 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium will host a Test match in the Border-Gavaskar series for the first time.

This season will start with West Indies’ tour of India. Between September 27 and October 17, both the teams will play a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20 series. ODI matches will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and New Chandigarh, while T20 matches will be played in Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

After this, India will host Sri Lanka from 13 to 27 December. This will be a ‘white-ball’ series, in which three ODIs and as many T20 matches will be played. The ODI matches of the series will be held in Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, while the T20 matches will be held in Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune.

Zimbabwe team will tour India in the beginning of the new year. During this period, between January 3 and 9, a three-match ODI series will be played in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The 2026-27 season will conclude with the ‘Border-Gavaskar Trophy’ against Australia. This series will be played from 21 January to 3 March. The first match of this much-awaited Test series will be played in Nagpur. After this, there will be matches between the two countries in Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi and Ahmedabad.
