Realme launched its new smartphone Realme 16 5G The launch date in India has been confirmed. This smartphone will be launched in the Indian market on 2 April 2026. In the mid-range segment, this phone will be available on Flipkart and the company’s official website. A microsite for this has also been made live on Flipkart, where some special information related to this model has already been shared.

Design and display

The design of Realme 16 5G will be different from its Pro models. There is a horizontal camera bar on its back panel, which also includes a selfie mirror. The company developed this design Elegant Air Design Named, which is light and comfortable to hold in the hand. According to the information available on Flipkart, this smartphone will be available in two colors—Air Black and Air White.

This smartphone features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 4,200 nits peak brightness. DTStar D+ glass has been used to protect the display. Additionally, the phone has got IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, making it dust and water resistant.

For photography, the Realme 16 5G sports a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. A 50MP selfie camera is also provided on the front, which is one of the key features of this phone.

Talking about the battery, this smartphone has a large 7,000mAh battery, which supports 60W fast charging. Along with this, reverse charging facility is also available in it.

Processor and Software

Realme 16 in 5G MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo Chipset is used. This smartphone will work on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The company will provide 4 years of security updates and 3 years of Android OS updates for this device. Additionally, a Vapor chamber cooling system (6,050 sq mm) is also provided to protect the phone from overheating.
