Weather changed due to drizzling rain, know when and where clouds will rain in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi. The weather pattern has changed in Delhi-NCR and it is raining with heavy thunderstorms in many areas. The Meteorological Department had already issued an alert of rain with strong winds in the national capital. There was sunshine and shade since morning and by night the weather changed completely. A drop in temperature has been recorded due to rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for the next few days.

Know where the clouds will rain
Isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely over the Western Himalayan region till March 27, and under the influence of Western Disturbance during March 28 to 31, this activity may become scattered to fairly widespread. There is a possibility of isolated rainfall in the plains of North-West India till March 31.

Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely over Northeast and adjoining East India throughout the week. Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 26 and 27 March, over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during 27 to 29 March, and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 28 March 2026.

Hot and humid weather is likely over some places over Konkan and Goa on March 26 and over Kerala during March 26 to 27. Under the influence of north-south trough/air imbalance in the low levels, isolated thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds are likely over South Peninsular India throughout the week.

Light to moderate rain/snowfall with isolated thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speed reaching 40-50 kmph is likely over Jammu and Kashmir on 29th and 30th, Himachal Pradesh on 29th and Uttarakhand on 29-31 March.

Scattered to moderate rain, isolated thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds reaching 30-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph are likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on March 29 and 30, over western Uttar Pradesh during March 29-31 and over Rajasthan on March 29 and 30.
