Lockdown is going to be imposed again in the country; will Modi government take a big decision amid fuel crisis? Stirred by Mamata Banerjee’s claim

Mamata Banerjee on PM Modi CM Meeting: The ongoing war in West Asia, especially the tension between Iran and the United States, has created a stir across the world. Due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the supply of oil and LPG is being affected, which has increased the concern of many countries including India. Amidst this crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states today i.e. on Friday. In this meeting, the situation of fuel supply amid Iran-America war will be discussed.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed fear of a lockdown. He said on Thursday that the central government may impose a lockdown due to fuel supply problems. However, Mamata also said that even if this happens, she will not stop from contesting the BJP in the assembly elections.

Mamta Banerjee fears lockdown

Referring to the lockdown during the Corona epidemic in 2021, Mamata Banerjee said, ‘The central government can impose a lockdown. They can lock people in their homes. I faced the lockdown situation in 2021, and I can fight in any situation.”

Mamata’s protest over shortage of LPG cylinders

Mamta also expressed strong protest over the shortage of LPG cylinders in her state West Bengal and the delay in its delivery. He said, ‘People are getting LPG cylinders 35 days after booking, now it has been reduced to 25 days. I don’t trust it. If someone runs out of gas, what will he do for 25 days? People are being forced to resort to old methods.”

PM Modi’s meeting

Today, on Friday, in the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Chief Ministers of all the states, preparations and plans will be reviewed in view of the ongoing conflict in West Asia. However, Chief Ministers of election-bound states have not been included in this meeting. These states include West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mamata Banerjee also targeted the central government and said, ‘Before PM Modi came to power, the price of a domestic cylinder was Rs 400, which has now increased to Rs 1,100. Petrol prices have also increased. Are they planning another lockdown? Does BJP want people to remain locked in their homes?”
