Opposition lacks issues, fails to corner government: Madan Rathore
Rajasthan BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathod on Friday made a sharp attack on the functioning of the opposition. He said that there is a complete lack of clear policy, ideology and agenda in the opposition parties. Instead of meaningful debate in Parliament and other forums, they are only busy creating ruckus.
Rathod said that the opposition does not have real issues and they are not able to challenge the ruling party anywhere. The duty of the opposition in a democracy is to hold the government accountable on questions of public interest, but the present opposition has completely missed this responsibility. Instead, he is working to spread confusion and mislead the public.
Taking a direct aim at Congress, he said that it is bent upon creating obstruction in Parliament by running away from constructive debate, which is against the spirit of democracy. Referring to the organizational strength of BJP, Rathore said that trained workers can face any adverse situation boldly.
Regular communication takes place with workers, office bearers and new members in the party’s continuous training programmes. Their aim is to introduce the party’s ideology, methodology and devotion to national service. Inspired by the principle of ‘Nation First, Party Second, Individual Third’, these efforts are part of a nationwide campaign based on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
The BJP is always in election mode, although the dates are decided by the Election Commission. Amidst global conflicts, he assured that there is no shortage of essential commodities in India. Central and state governments are alert on the supply chain. Accusing the opposition of spreading rumors of shortage, he said that there is enough stock and there will be strict action against hoarding under the Essential Commodities Act. Appealed to everyone for responsible cooperation in the national interest.
