Eric André lands role in action comedy ‘Synergy Systems’
Eric André is stepping into his next big film role with Synergy Systemsa genre-bending project that also marks the directorial debut of writer Toby Harvard, as per Deadline.
The upcoming film is described as punk-infused, gritty, action packed thriller set in the near future following indecisive analyst Bemis (Eric) as he discovers his employer is secretly orchestrating an apocalyptic scheme.
He is suddenly pushed into becoming humanity’s last hope, even though he’s completely unqualified, painfully timid and nowhere near ready to save the world.
Steven Demmler produces via Talon Entertainment, teaming up with Dane Eckerle of Bad Grey and Iconoclast.
Toby gave a statement to Deadlinewhere he described the 42-year-old actor and comedian as the most fearless and unique voice in American comedy.”
Continuing, “With an extraordinary group of collaborators, I’m thrilled to watch him embody a character who feels like the bastard lovechild of Chauncey Gardner and Neo.”
