Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will play Aatli match in the next one year

New Delhi, 27 March 2026: The schedule of Team India’s home series for the next year has been announced. Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will tour India in the next 12 months. During this period, Team India will play a total of 22 matches in 17 different cities. BCCI has announced this schedule from September 2026 to February 2027. However, before that, Team India will also play a home ODI series against Afghanistan.

With the schedule revealed, Indian fans will also be curious to know how often their favorite players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, will be seen playing in the next year. A list of all the dates when Virat and Rohit will be seen playing is given.

When will Virat and Rohit play?

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will now play only ODI matches, so after IPL 2026, the series against Afghanistan will be seen on Indian pitches for the first time. The India-Afghanistan series will run from June 14 to 20. After that, West Indies will travel to India, where they will play a three-match ODI series against Team India.

Thereafter, the Sri Lankan team will travel to India to play a three-match ODI series against Team India. Zimbabwe and India will also play a three-match ODI series in early 2027.

June 14 – India vs Afghanistan – 1st ODI – Dharamshala

June 17 – India vs Afghanistan – 2nd ODI – Lucknow

June 20 – India vs Afghanistan – 3rd ODI – Chennai

27 September – India vs West Indies – 1st ODI – Trivandrum

30 September – India vs West Indies – 2nd ODI – Guwahati

3 October – India vs West Indies – 3rd ODI – New Chandigarh

13 December – India vs Sri Lanka – 1st ODI – Delhi

16 December – India vs Sri Lanka – 2nd ODI – Bengaluru

19 December – India vs Sri Lanka – 3rd ODI – Ahmedabad

January 3 – India vs Zimbabwe – 1st ODI – Kolkata

6 January – India vs Zimbabwe – 2nd ODI – Hyderabad

9 January – India vs Zimbabwe – 3rd ODI – Mumbai

This means that the Indian team will play only 12 ODI matches at home in the next 12 months. Even if Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma play all these matches, they will be able to play only a maximum of 12 matches during the next year.
