US Embassy reiterates Trump’s statement for Prime Minister Modi, calls him ‘a leader who gets things done’

The US Embassy in India on Friday referred to US President Donald Trump’s statement in which he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him a “leader who gets things done”. Along with this, the Embassy expressed confidence that relations between India and America will strengthen further in the coming years. Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the embassy’s social media post has attracted attention due to its timing and message.
In a post on social media platform This update came after the phone conversation between the two leaders on Tuesday. During a telephonic conversation on Tuesday, both the leaders had an important discussion regarding the Iran conflict. After the call, PM Modi reiterated India’s stand on the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz for peace in West Asia and global trade.
PM Modi posted on Twitter: “Call from President Trump and had a good exchange of views on the situation in West Asia. India supports early de-escalation and restoration of peace. Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, secure and accessible is an imperative for the entire world. We agreed to remain in touch regarding peace and stability efforts.” Trump and PM Modi stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region during the phone call.
PM Modi stressed that it is important for the entire world to keep the strategic Strait of Hormuz open, safe and accessible. Both sides agreed to maintain close dialogue on ways to ensure the security of the region and the security of global shipping lanes.
