Chinnaswamy IPL Tickets Uproar: Controversy is increasing in Karnataka regarding tickets for IPL 2026 matches. MLAs from different parties in Karnataka are said to be angry over not getting tickets. After which Assembly Speaker UT Khadar on Thursday directed the state government to ensure that at least four VIP tickets are provided to every MLA for the IPL matches to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In fact, members of different parties, including Karnataka’s ruling party Congress, alleged that KSCA, the body that manages the stadium, behaved “disrespectfully” with them. Opposition leader R. Many MLAs, including Ashoka, complained that they were given only one ticket and were not given proper seating arrangements during the matches. While some MLAs also demanded a separate lounge for MLAs at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. On this issue, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. “We have taken steps; KSCA and the cricket board will take a decision on this soon,” Shivakumar said.
Earlier, Congress MLA from Hungund Vijayanand Kashappanavar on Thursday termed the Karnataka Cricket Association’s not providing tickets for the RCB vs SRH match to the MLAs and ministers as an insult to them. Kashappanavar told the media in Bengaluru, “The IPL match is going to start from 28th of this month. Karnataka State Cricket Association is not providing tickets for the MLAs, ministers and their families. See, they are taking all the facilities from the government. They are getting all the security, everything; they are taking every kind of facility from the government. But they are not respecting the MLAs, they are not issuing tickets, rather they are asking to take tickets online. Should we? Do you know this is all a black market game only?
Fans had also made serious allegations
Let us tell you that ticket booking for the match between RCB and SRH started at 4 pm on Tuesday, but all the tickets were sold out within a few minutes. Due to which some angry fans have alleged foul play. A fan claimed that as soon as the ticket booking started, the tickets started appearing sold out. Another fan said that what is the point of opening RCB ticket sale when there are no seats for the fans? He was logged in at 4 pm, sale started at 4:01 pm and he could not book the ticket.

Some even alleged irregularities in the ticket booking process itself. Some users claimed that they reached the payment, but the ticket was not confirmed. Not only this, some people even alleged that a large number of tickets were already given to VVIPs. At present, we do not confirm these claims, but the tremendous passion of the fans regarding the opening match of IPL 2026 cannot be denied.
