The race shirt sets the visual direction for the collection. Purple is the dominant color, a shade often associated with Hue’s cultural image.
On the front, the shirt features the Read Marathon logo and the word “Hue,” along with stylized cloud and wave patterns inspired by Nguyen-era decorative art. On the back, “HUE 2026” appears vertically in gold against the purple background, accompanied by the Vietnamese flag and race logo.
According to the organizers, the shirt is designed not only as sportswear but also as a way to reflect Hue’s visual identity.
The 21km finisher shirt continues this theme with a different color palette. Instead of purple, it uses shades of blue that transition from darker tones at the shoulders to lighter ones across the body.

The front includes the event logo and “Hue” lettering, combined with stylized cloud layers, circular ornamental motifs, and vertical patterns inspired by court decoration. On the back, “FINISHER 21.0975KM” is printed alongside the Vietnamese flag and race logo, marking completion of the distance.
The medal is the most symbolic item in the collection. Its design is based on the shape of a khanha traditional ornamental motif found in palace architecture, temples, royal tombs, and decorative screens from the Nguyen period. The shape is associated with meanings of peace and good fortune.

The medal also incorporates two landmarks in Hue: Nghenh Luong Dinh and Phu Van Lau, located along the Perfume River.
On the front, Nghenh Luong Dinh is depicted against a deep red background with stylized clouds and traditional patterns. The reverse features Phu Van Lau in a gold-toned engraving. A fan-shaped detail at the base references Vu Phien, a form of royal court dance.
Together, the three items form a unified race kit. The race shirt reflects Hue’s visual identity, the finisher shirt distinguishes half-marathon participants, and the medal incorporates architectural and cultural references associated with the host city.
Since its introduction in Hue in 2020, Read Marathon has developed a course that passes landmarks such as the Imperial City, Trang Tien Bridge, Nghenh Luong Dinh, and Phu Van Lau, along with tree-lined streets in the city center. The early start time also allows runners to experience sunrise along the Perfume River and surrounding historic sites.
