Saba Azad hospitalised with parasitic infection, loses 4 kgs weight; doting BF Hrithik Roshan nurses herInstagram

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s girlfriend, Saba Azad, has been hospitalised after a parasitic infection. On Friday, Saba took to Instagram and shared a photo from her hospital bed, flashing the peace sign. She also penned a note explaining how she got the infection.

Saba said that even during these tough times, her beau Hrithik Roshan has been keeping her spirits high.

She revealed that she has lost 4 kilograms within two weeks due to the disease, despite eating home-cooked food and carrying her water bottle everywhere. Saba wrote:

“Worst 14 days of my life. Cyclospora cayetanensis, you nasty piece of work!! For someone who only ever eats home food, carries her water bottle everywhere, this bug came out of nowhere, and at the busiest time of the year for me. I’ve lost 4 kgs that I didn’t have spare in two weeks, and I can barely walk. One day I’m training twice a day, doing pull-ups, lifting heavy, and the next I’m half my size, without strength to lift a goddamn toothpick, leave alone weights.”

She also advised everyone to wash their vegetables and fruits properly before consuming them.

“So please, for the love of your gut, wash your salad leaves and veggies like your life depends on it — because sometimes it really does!! Our new method is Baking soda + veggie wash (Herbal Strategi has a good one),” she added.

Saba also heaped praise on her boyfriend, Hrithik Roshan. She wrote, “@hrithikroshan who’s kept my very grumpy spirits up and always manages to find humour in the darnest situations… PS ,I haven’t shrunk quite as much as it may seem here, the bed is supersized and the angle is wide.”

Fans and celebrities have wished her a speedy recovery.

What is Cyclospora cayetanensis?

It is a protozoan parasite that causes cyclosporiasis, a diarrheal disease transmitted through contaminated food and water.
