Friends, in today’s modern era, money transactions have become very easy, due to which UPI has gained immense popularity since its launch in 2015, due to which transactions have become faster, easier and more secure than ever before. Popular UPI apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm and BHIM have already revolutionized the way users make payments, a new feature has been added to it, through which you can make payments even without entering the PIN, let’s know the complete details.
No need for UPI PIN every time:
With the introduction of biometric authentication, users will soon no longer need to enter their UPI PIN for every transaction.
Biometric payments started:
With approval from the National Payments Corporation of India, UPI platforms now support payments through fingerprint and facial recognition.
More device support:
Earlier limited to select apps and Android devices, this feature is now available for iPhone users as well.
Fast payments up to ₹5,000:
Now transactions up to ₹5,000 can be approved using Face ID or fingerprint, making small payments faster and hassle-free.
Device-based functions:
Android users can use both fingerprint and face unlock.
iPhone users can easily make payments using Face ID.
How to turn on this feature:
Update your UPI app to the latest version.
Go to the Settings section of the app.
Find the ‘Biometric Payment’ or ‘Pay with Face ID’ option and turn it on.
Once enabled, biometric authentication will appear as an option during payments, eliminating the need to enter a PIN for eligible transactions.
