Court rejects anticipatory bail of Luthra brothers in Goa club fire case
On December 6, 2025, 25 people died in a fire in a night club.
Panaji. The court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Luthra brothers in the case of death of 25 people in a fire in Goa’s famous night club. In this case, serious allegations have been made against the Luthra brothers of obtaining the license of the club through fake documents. In this accident that took place on December 6, 2025, 25 people died and more than 50 were injured.
The additional sessions court of Mapusa rejected the petitions of both the brothers. His lawyer Parag Rao said that the court has refused to grant bail. At present both the accused are lodged in Colvale Central Jail in North Goa. Both had fled to Thailand after the fire, but were deported from there to India on 17 December.
Allegation of obtaining license with fake documents
Mapusa police has registered a case of fraud against Luthra Brothers. It is alleged that he submitted fake documents to get the license from the Excise Department. Specially, NOC was prepared by forging the signature of the health officer and the club was run on the same basis.
Other accused has got bail
Another owner Ajay Gupta has already got bail in this case. In such a situation, a new difference is clearly visible in the case due to Luthra Brothers not getting relief. This also indicates that the court has considered the role of the two brothers as more serious. After this decision of the court, the attitude of the investigating agencies may become more strict.
