Jewar, 28 March. Giving new heights to the country’s aviation sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh today. At the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi praised the leadership of the Prime Minister and said that this airport is a strong example of the changing picture of ‘New India’. He said that Jewar Airport will give new identity and momentum to UP. He said that Jewar Airport will give a new direction of development to Uttar Pradesh with global connectivity and will establish the state as a major center of investment.
Referring to the policies of the Central Government in the last decade, the Chief Minister said that the schemes were not limited to papers only, but they were also implemented on the ground and gave results. Describing the decisions of the Central Government regarding the prices and supply of petroleum products as noteworthy, he said that despite global instability, controlling the prices in India and keeping the supply chain smooth is a big achievement. Taking aim at the opposition, he said that under the circumstances in which earlier Uttar Pradesh had lagged behind in the race of development, today the same state is moving forward rapidly and creating a new identity.
According to the Chief Minister, improvements in law and order and infrastructure over the years have made the state investment-friendly. Yogi also said that the foundation stone of this project was laid in November 2021 and now the first phase has been inaugurated, which shows the fast working style of the ‘double engine’ government – where the schemes are completed in a time-bound manner. Referring to the celebration of Ram Navami, he said that while on one hand there is cultural joy in the country, on the other hand, economic challenges are being seen in many countries at the global level. Despite this, India has maintained stability and balance, which is the result of the Centre’s far-sighted policies. Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of 25 crore people of the state, the Chief Minister said that Jewar Airport will prove to be the pivot of development of Uttar Pradesh in the coming times and will create new opportunities for employment and investment.
Making Jewar Airport a center of global connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that by connecting Yamuna Expressway and future networks like Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Way, Ganga Expressway, RRTS, Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Rail Line, it will also take the state to a new height of development with scale and speed. He said that employment for lakhs of youth will be created directly and indirectly through the Noida Airport project. Yogi said that the possibilities of extensive investment in Yamuna Expressway, Noida, Greater Noida have already started making proposals. Just recently, you had laid the foundation stone of a semiconductor chip manufacturing unit near this airport. Along with this, the process of building a state-of-the-art electronic manufacturing cluster is also being taken forward here.
He said that today this Noida International Airport and all the facilities associated with it will play a decisive role in taking the potential that was within Uttar Pradesh to a new height. Yogi said that today under your guidance, this airport is moving towards realizing the concept of ‘Ease of Journey’ focusing on seamless, smart and sustainable airport, aviation fuel form, illuminated kitchen facility, MRO as well as modern digital and energy conservation. He said that with the construction of dedicated multi-modal cargo hub, Uttar Pradesh will now be able to overcome the land-locked limitations and ease its access to the global market with a landmark growth.
